Control Risks Roundtable: Strengthening Organisational Resilience – 15 August 2024, Perth
AAMEG and Control Risks hosted a highly engaging and insightful Resilience Breakfast Roundtable in Perth on August 15th, following successful sessions in Perth earlier this year and Melbourne and Sydney last month.
Control Risks Partner Mark Shortman and Jon Greenaway, Market Director for Western Australia, led a compelling discussion based on Control Risks’ latest Global Resilience Report. This report, compiled from insights shared by over 600 business leaders across 32 countries, sheds light on resilience strategies, investment priorities for improving readiness, top risks, and approaches to navigating a volatile risk environment both locally and globally.
Mark’s presentation offered valuable strategies for developing a more resilient organization amidst challenges such as polycrisis, geopolitical conflict, supply chain stress, regulatory changes, technological disruption, and operational hurdles. The session fostered an enriching dialogue among senior Risk, Security, and Resilience professionals, providing actionable insights to strengthen organizational resilience.
Control Risks provided a two-page document on recovery-led crisis response, which explores how leveraging events and their investigation and management can enhance organizational resilience. This document features a case study on a large-scale theft at a mining client, providing practical insights into strengthening your organization’s response strategies.
