Regulators and coronavirus: A changed enforcement focus does not excuse non-compliance

Australian regulators have acknowledged the tremendous challenges and disruptions facing Australian businesses as a result of COVID-19. This might appear to herald an interim period of more relaxed supervision of regulated businesses, but it is a critical mistake to think that this means performance on compliance can be ignored altogether.
