PROFORMA CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE PLAN
Introductory Situation Paragraph
- This Coronavirus Response Plan will be updated – i.e. is a living document
- The aim is to manage the health of people and ensure the business can continue to operate
Plan Management and Oversight
- This Plan will be managed from Head Office via dedicated committee consisting of (e.g. HR, transport, health safety, security etc.)
- Situational awareness – use one point of truth – e.g. WHO website
Mine Site Preparations
- Ensuring there are testing procedures available in local country
- Identifying quarantine facilities available in local country
Travel Protocols
- Outline steps in understanding the benefits and risks of taking trips
- Look at restricting non-essential travel
- FIFO expat workers – essential travel or not?
- Avoid travel for older people or those with diabetes or respiratory issues
- People feeling unwell should not travel
- Checklist for those returning from travel – self-quarantine, communications with management
Supply Chain Management
- Map the vulnerability of supply chains, even if over an unknown length of time (at least to August 2020)
Scenario Management for Site Managers
- infection in local communities
- changing site access arrangements
- restricting local access
- providing local medical assistance
Plan Communication
How this Plan may be communicated to all employees and contractors via:
- intranet
- face to face briefings
- written material in English and local language (e.g. French, Swahili)
