Australia’s National Action Plan on Security and Human Rights
By AAMEG | 14 July 2014
The Voluntary Principles Secretariat has approved Australia’s National Action Plan on Security and Human Rights, marking Australia as a full Participant Government.
This National Action Plan on Security sets out principles designed to guide the extractive industry in maintaining the safety and security of their operations within a framework that encourages respect for human rights.
AAMEG provides a hub to disseminate best practice and we look forward to working with DFAT’s Trade Investment and Economic Diplomacy Division to assist in implementation and dissemination of this Action Plan. AAMEG is also participating in the consultation process to develop a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.
