About the Nominee & their Nomination

      • MineScope is a consultancy headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, providing Owner’s Team support to mining companies to help them buy, build or optimise assets. The firm operates globally across multiple commodities and project stages, providing critical services including (but not limited to) technical support, due-diligence, project development support and operational support.
      • In 2020, Endeavour Mining engaged MineScope to leverage its refractory gold expertise after acquiring the Massawa refractory deposits near the Sabodala Gold Mine in Senegal, which faced a reduced mine life due to deteriorating free-milling ore reserves. MineScope provided technical due diligence to Endeavour, recommending the adoption of BIOX® bacterial oxidation technology and supporting the design and construction of a new processing plant integrated with Sabodala’s existing operations – the innovation extended the mine’s life by more than 10 years, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It also safeguarded jobs and delivered significant benefits, which increased gold recoveries by 60%, reduced CO2 emissions by 24% through renewable power integrations, lowered waste and water use and improved operational efficiencies.
      • From feasibility and design through to construction in late 2024, MineScope worked closely with Endevour throughout each phase of the project. Not only was the project successfully managed by MineScope, but quality, schedule and budget targets were also met, all while maximising community value. When the project came into fruition in late 2024, MineScope provided technical and on-site support, trained operators, and helped compress the extensive BIOX® ramp-up period, ensuring a smooth transition to full operations.
      • MineScope’s technical due diligence, refractory expertise and project delivery support enabled Endeavour Mining to successfully integrate the Sabodala and Massawa assets into a world-class gold complex with extended life, higher recoveries, lower emissions and greater community benefits. The BIOX® Refractory Gold Process Plant was delivered on time and under budget, resulting 72 koz gold produced in Q1 2025, up 47% from Q1 2024. This also extended the mine site by more than 10 years, led to significant CO2 reductions, secured long-term economic benefits, and both, upskilled and created more jobs for the local workforce.
