About the Nominee & their Nomination
- Forever Projects tackles the heartbreaking reality that every year in Tanzania, 12,000 families are forced to surrender their babies due to malnutrition, poverty, and lack of affordable infant formula. In response, Forever Projects’ Tanzanian partners deliver a 12-month program for mothers that provides infant nutrition, essential crisis items, weekly health and skills training, seed capital for small businesses, and a supportive community network. This approach is designed to give a hand-up, not a handout, enabling women to become self-sufficient while ensuring their babies survive and thrive.
- Since 2015, the program has reached 1,750 women and 2,250 babies across six Tanzanian cities, breaking cycles of poverty and offering a path to end the orphan crisis. Impact results are striking: in the latest reporting period, 100% of at-risk babies gained over 30% in weight within six months (with 92.5% achieving this in just three months) and reached healthy MUAC levels within three months. On the economic front, 74% of participating women increased their income, with an average salary growth of 263%. These outcomes demonstrate both immediate life-saving impact and long-term economic empowerment.
- Partnership opportunities with mining, energy, and related services companies in Tanzania are strong. Forever Projects brings a proven, locally led model with trusted community relationships in regions such as Mwanza, Geita, Arusha, and Dar es Salaam. The organisation aligns with ESG, CSR, and local content priorities by delivering measurable, sustainable community benefits, employing Tanzanian locals, and strengthening companies’ social licence to operate. Past high-impact partnerships with leading tech companies like Canva, Atlassian, and Airtree VC highlight the organisation’s ability to deliver shared value.
