About the Nominee & their Nomination

    • ATPI is a global travel management company headquartered in Manchester, UK, with regional hubs in Australia (Melbourne, Perth, Sydney) and South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban). The company specialises in travel solutions for sectors including mining, energy, marine, corporate, events, and sports.
    • The Company has two upcoming innovations that will directly address these factors. The first, BAO (Book Africa Online), launching September 2025 in Africa, is a focused booking tool that will integrate local airlines, charters, hotels and bundled trips. The second innovation is the French-Speaking Service Centre, which will support Australian and international companies operating in Francophone Africa.
    • ATPI implemented the Africa Gateway to address the unique demands of global business. This process involved thorough strategising, significant investments, and active collaboration. To expand its African presence, ATPI set a five-year target of £100M in sales, underpinned by compliance, operational excellence, financial transparency, and strong ESG commitments. Major investments included the BAO booking tool, deployment of advanced travel technologies, establishment of a French Service Centre in West and Central Africa, and the formation of strategic partnerships and acquisitions. In addition, cross-sector collaboration, such as BEE-aligned training and local internships, is helping reduce unemployment and build skills, while localisation compliance ensures sustainable partnerships. As a result of these coordinated efforts, ATPI has delivered measurable socio-economic outcomes.

Combining its in-depth knowledge of Africa with strong problem-solving skills, ATPI developed an initiative to address international travel logistics, ensuring lasting benefits for the continent. Key outcomes include:

    • Visibility of employee movements and finances in African countries.
    • Local payment options and tax advantages.
    • Travel contingency plans for political unrest, power outages, or internet disruptions.
    • Shift from centralised support in South Africa to in-country service delivery with fully trained local consultants.
