- Perenti subsidiary Barminco established the Maun Training Centre to educate local workers in the practices, processes and methodologies of underground mining
- Invested more than USD 1million to build a training centre equipped with a workshop, underground training environment, conference room, lecture rooms and an underground machine operator training simulator
- Committed to investing in long-term, sustainable training and development for lasting employment opportunities and economic development – been granted Training Visa (407 Class) Sponsorship status entitling Barminco to sponsor graduates to enter Australia for training purposes
