2019 AAMEG AFRICA AWARDS: 31 DAYS TO NOMINATE
By AAMEG | 25 June 2019
With just 31 days left to nominate, we’d like to encourage you to share the significant achievements and projects undertaken by your organisation in the areas of capacity building and workforce development.
If you are a mining company who aspires to enable the local communities surrounding your operations to be engaged meaningfully in tangible opportunities, as well as contribute more broadly to an African country’s socio-economic development and sustainable growth, we want to hear from you.
Your nomination will help AAMEG on its mission to continually raise awareness of, and promote the leadership and innovation demonstrated by Australian companies operating in Africa.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Nominations are open to both AAMEG members and non-members across two categories:
BEST INNOVATION IN CORPORATE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
This award recognises an outstanding company initiative that delivers sustainable and tangible benefits to a community while demonstrating leadership in environmental, social and governance practices. The recipient will have demonstrated that they have gone beyond traditional CSR and ESG efforts, showing collaboration and engagement between the African community and government.
BEST WORKFORCE AND INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
This award recognises a company demonstrating leadership in African mining workforce development. The recipient will have demonstrated capacity building and empowerment of African people, innovation through training or workforce development, and have addressed local content requirements such as mentoring and apprenticeships.
WHEN DO NOMINATIONS CLOSE?
Nominations close on 26 July 2019.
A respected panel will shortlist all finalists who will be recognised at an awards ceremony in September. Visit our website for full details.
