AAMEG Africa Awards: Writing a Winning Submission
On Thursday 3 September we hosted a webinar to support nominees in their submission process and guest judges, Dr Muza Gondwe – Project Manager, Association of Women in Mining in Africa; and Ben Gargett – Vice Chair AAMEG shared their experienced view on how to substantiate a winning initiative.

The AAMEG Africa Awards are multifunctional. As well as celebrating the success of a company in best ESG practice, they serve an additional purpose of contributing to the overall profile of Australian mining companies in Africa.

In 2020, our Awards program is even broader and encompassing, catering for an ‘Emerging ESG Leader’ thanks to the Minerals Council of Australia who have sponsored an opportunity for junior explorers or service companies.
Nominees can also participate in our previously successful categories of “Best Innovation in Corporate Social Development” and “Best Workforce and Industry Development Initiative”.
We are grateful to be involved in an industry that is driving such vast and diverse change and cannot wait to celebrate the cumulative achievements of Australian mining companies in Africa from the last 12 months at our 2020 Africa Awards.
